Desire

Her eyes were looted of their desire,
she doesn't believe in it any more,
Would she, could she turn back time,
would she have opened the door?
keeping the pain from drawing near,
keeping the shame she has no fear,
the woman who borrowed her man,
her eyes they flicker, its not my hand,
her eyes they shimmer for the last dance,
She never felt like this before.
She never wanted a love so much,
she followed the path which said 'Ignore'.

His eyes they're tired, red and sore,
hiding the hurt, this naive warrior,
fighting, he's weak can't break the door,
How did it open, he was never sure?
defeated in love, he tried and failed,
he leaves her alone, retires to his cave,
builds the fire, stokes the flames,
painting the walls, images and dreams!!
no'er a reality, begone this in-sanity,
time will heal, weeds will grow wild,
a new generation, with a story to find,
written in the walls with a happy ending?
every tear in their eyes so very telling....
